• Name and email address used to create and access your account.
• Your mobile phone number, used to verify your device and send safety messages.
• SMS/text messaging opt-in and consent information, including when consent was given or withdrawn.
• Emergency contact names and phone numbers you choose to add, and medical responder information you enter (allergies, medications, conditions, naloxone availability).
• Information you submit through forms in the app, such as settings and preferences.
• Location, requested only when an emergency alert is triggered or when you explicitly test location permissions. We do not track your location in the background.
• Basic app and service usage information needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use mobile numbers and SMS information

Your mobile phone number and messaging consent information are used only to:

• Send the text messages you requested or opted into.
• Send one-time verification codes to confirm your phone number.
• Send transactional and account or service-related messages, including safety timer notifications.
• Send automated emergency alerts, including your medical responder details and location link, to the emergency contacts you designated, when your safety timer expires.
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests, including HELP replies.

SMS opt-in information is never used for unrelated third-party marketing.

3. SMS program disclosures

• Message frequency varies depending on your use of the safety timer and messaging features.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.
• You can request assistance at any time by replying HELP.
• Opting out of non-essential messages does not prevent necessary transactional or service communications where applicable, such as verification codes required to use the service.
• SMS consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Guardian Angel Timer is provided free of charge.
• You can also manage your messaging consent at any time in the app Settings.

4. Other uses of your information

• To display your medical responder profile during an emergency.
• To provide in-app notifications, sound alarms, and vibration alerts.
• To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service.

5. Service providers

We use third-party service providers, including Twilio for SMS delivery and our hosting and database providers, to operate the website and the messaging program. These providers process information only as necessary to deliver the service on our behalf and under contractual confidentiality obligations. This operational processing is entirely separate from marketing: your mobile phone number, SMS/text messaging information, and messaging consent data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the safety of a person in an emergency. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Emergency sharing you control

Emergency information, including your medical responder details and location, is sent only to the emergency contacts you added yourself, and only when you trigger an emergency or your safety timer expires.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including authenticated access, encrypted connections, and row-level access controls so that only your authenticated account can read or modify your data. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Data retention and your rights

You can review, update, or delete your personal data at any time in the app Settings. Deleting your data removes your emergency contacts, medical profile, and event history. You may also withdraw messaging consent at any time in Settings or by replying STOP.

9. Children

Guardian Angel Timer is not intended for use by children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new updated date.
